The Moss gearbox had to be repaired, as it was occasionally jamming in first gear, and had a continuous oil leak from the rear of the box, where the reverse gear spindle and the layshaft exits the alloy extension between the gearbox case and the overdrive. The overdrive unit was functioning without fault.

In case you are wondering, the Moss gearbox, which is the car's original gearbox, will eventually be refitted to the car. As of December 2015, the gearbox rebuild had been completed, and the gearbox and overdrive unit is sitting in a locked steel box, along with yet-to-be-installed front and rear seals, ready to be refitted in the car.
